The Lit Shelf explains those tradeoffs together, using measurements, published specifications, institutional guidance where available, and clearly labelled editorial analysis. The site has no product line of its own.
On some deeper shelves, containers alone may not solve poor visibility. Lighting, shelf position, sightline, and the way items are arranged can all matter. This site treats storage and lighting as one subject, because in a real kitchen they interact.
Who I am
I am Abderraouf Hadj Kaci. I research and write everything here myself, working from Algeria for a mostly American readership.
I am not a professional organizer and I do not pretend to be. I read published specifications, consult institutional sources where they apply, and review documented owner feedback when it is available.
