We do not claim to have tested everything
This is the most important thing on this page, and the thing most sites in our category are quietly dishonest about.
We have not bought forty food containers and lived with them for a year. When we recommend a product, our reasoning comes from published manufacturer specifications, established material properties, documented owner complaints across multiple retailers, and guidance from institutional sources such as university extension services. We will never write "we tested" about something we did not test.
Where we are inferring rather than citing, we say so in the text.
What we will not claim
- Health or safety guarantees. We describe what manufacturers state and what published research says. We do not assert that a container is "safe" or that a system "prevents" contamination.
- Personal ownership we do not have. No invented anecdotes, no fictional kitchens.
- Income, traffic or popularity claims about ourselves or anyone else without evidence.
- Borrowed ratings. We do not reproduce retailer star ratings or customer reviews as if they were our findings.
Our images are our own
Every diagram and illustration on this site is produced by us or properly licensed. We do not download, re-host or hotlink retailer product photography. That is both a copyright matter and a quality one — an original diagram explains a storage system better than a catalogue shot ever will.
Dates and corrections
Every guide carries a published date and an updated date. When a product line changes, a specification is revised, or we simply get something wrong, we amend the page and note what changed. We would rather be correctable than look infallible.
